"The man who surgically repaired Mike Jenkins' right shoulder in January told the Cowboys cornerback he wasn't ready to resume contact in practice, a source said. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, whom Jenkins visited Monday in Florida to be evaluated, didn't give the fifth-year veteran the go-ahead.

Consequently, Jenkins, whose progress will be assessed week to week, is expected to continue his conditioning and rehabilitation work.
